- • The Accounting Manager at Warner Music Group oversees the monthly close process and all aspects of Revenue and Royalty accounting for WMG LATAM businesses, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements and managing a hybrid team of onshore and offshore accountants.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the monthly close process (analysis, general ledger entries, reconciliation review), supporting finance teams with ad hoc requests, acting as a liaison between Shared Services and local finance teams in LATAM, coordinating with internal and external auditors, maintaining finance relationships across affiliates and vendors, and leading, coaching, and developing team members.
- • The role sits within Warner Music Group’s U.S. Shared Services organization, specifically in the Finance Department’s Accounting Operations Group, which provides accounting services to WMG’s U.S. and LATAM record labels, music publishing, and distribution entities, supporting a global music enterprise that values curiosity, collaboration, and commitment.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in Revenue and Royalty accounting under ASC 606, strengthen leadership and cross-cultural team management skills, gain experience in SOX compliance and audit coordination, and contribute to process standardization and efficiency across international finance operations.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong leadership and organizational skills with experience in a management capacity leading month-end close in a shared services environment
- • Experience managing onshore and offshore teams
- • Experience with Revenue and Royalty accounting, including understanding of ASC 606
- • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
- • Bilingual English/Spanish
- • SAP S4 experience
- • Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- • Excellent oral and written communication skills
- • Detail-oriented with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- • Strong analytical skills in reviewing accounting transactions
