  • • As the Accounting Manager at Catalight Foundation, you will oversee daily accounting operations and financial reporting for a family of non-profit organizations dedicated to addressing complex societal challenges like healthcare access and equity. Your leadership will ensure financial integrity, compliance with GAAP, and support for mission-driven initiatives that create measurable social impact.
  • • You will manage core accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close procedures, while preparing accurate financial statements and supporting the annual audit process with thorough documentation and auditor coordination.
  • • Leading a team of accountants, you will provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development, fostering a collaborative and equity-informed workplace culture aligned with Catalight’s values of community, boldness, and wellbeing.
  • • You will partner with the Finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, while identifying and recommending process improvements and financial system enhancements—including AI-enabled ERP tools and robotic process automation (RPA)—to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • • Ensuring compliance with internal controls, grant accounting requirements, and regulatory standards (including healthcare-specific and nonprofit FASB guidelines), you will serve as a trusted financial steward who drives transparency and accountability across the organization.
  • • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in nonprofit financial management, healthcare compliance, and financial technology innovation, positioning yourself as a strategic leader capable of influencing organizational decisions through data-driven insights and ethical financial stewardship.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required; CPA designation strongly preferred (CPA-eligible candidates also strongly preferred)
  • • Demonstrated expertise in GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards (FASB), and healthcare-specific financial compliance requirements
  • • Proven experience leading accounting teams, managing external audits, and driving process improvement in complex financial environments
  • • Proficiency in accounting and reporting systems such as Workday, NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, Power BI, Tableau, and advanced Excel
  • • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities with a commitment to equity, community, and wellbeing in the workplace
