- • Own key parts of the monthly close process including close calendar management, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, flux analysis, and supporting schedules
- • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaid expenses, accruals, deferred revenue (utilizing ASC 606), fixed assets, payroll-related accounts, and other general ledger accounts
- • Manage AR, AP, billing, invoicing, and collections workflows to ensure transactions are accurate, timely, and well-documented
- • Partner with the Controller to improve close quality, reduce manual work through AI and automation, and achieve a faster, more predictable monthly close
- • Work cross-functionally with Sales and Customer Success to resolve billing questions, contract changes, and collections issues
- • Support audit readiness by preparing clean, well-documented workpapers and collaborating with external auditors
- • Contribute to finance systems migration initiatives and implement improvements to accounting infrastructure
- • Leverage AI tools to unblock workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and create scalable process flows with minimal oversight
- • Operate with high ownership in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and compliance
- • Maintain clear documentation and repeatable processes to ensure scalability and auditability of accounting operations
- • Apply strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 standards in all accounting activities, particularly around subscription-based revenue recognition
- • Utilize ERPs and modern finance tools such as NetSuite, Rillet, Campfire, QuickBooks, Ramp, Brex, Stripe, Salesforce, HubSpot, and Orb to manage financial operations
- • Perform advanced analysis in Excel or Google Sheets using large datasets to support financial reporting and reconciliation efforts
- • Communicate clearly with non-accounting stakeholders to align finance processes with business needs
- • Take initiative on ad hoc projects as needed to support the growth and scalability of Numeral’s finance function
- • Operate with a low-ego, high-ownership mindset—comfortable rolling up sleeves to execute hands-on tasks while also designing systems to eliminate them
🎯 Requirements
- • 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting and high-growth SaaS company experience
- • CPA license is a plus
- • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606, particularly around subscription billing and revenue recognition
- • Experience managing AR, AP, billing, invoicing, collections, and order-to-cash processes in a fast-paced environment
- • Proven experience supporting audits and preparing clean, well-documented workpapers
- • Proficiency with ERPs and modern finance tools such as NetSuite, Rillet, Campfire, QuickBooks, Ramp, Brex, Stripe, Salesforce, HubSpot, or Orb
