- • The Accounting Manager will lead critical accounting functions for a corporate shared services entity that supports multiple brands within a marketing-focused holding company, ensuring accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency across accounting, billing, payroll, and real estate functions.
- • This role is pivotal in maintaining financial integrity and enabling data-driven decision-making for the client’s broader digital transformation initiatives, directly contributing to the scalability and compliance of shared services operations.
- • Manage the day-to-day operations for general ledger accounting areas, including oversight of journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- • Liaise and assist Accounts Receivable, Billing, Accounts Payable, and Finance teams with inquiries, resolving discrepancies and supporting cross-functional workflows to maintain seamless financial operations.
- • Review monthly close entries prepared by staff, including prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals, deferred rent, and AMEX entries, validating accuracy and compliance with GAAP before posting.
- • Oversee accounting staff to ensure adherence to closing timelines and reporting deadlines, providing guidance, prioritization, and quality control throughout the monthly close cycle.
- • Review balance sheet account reconciliations and prepare general ledger account analyses by drilling into transaction details to verify accuracy, completeness, and proper classification within the GL.
- • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system, ensuring all documentation is properly organized, retained, and accessible for audits, internal reviews, and regulatory compliance.
- • Prepare and review audit schedules as assigned, conduct audit research, and respond to auditor inquiries with precision and timeliness to support smooth external audit processes.
- • Assist with preparing year-end tax schedules, compiling necessary data and supporting documentation to facilitate timely and accurate tax provision and filing.
- • Oversee the intercompany reconciliation process, ensuring eliminations are accurate and timely to support consolidated financial reporting for the corporate entity.
- • Support month-end ancillary package preparation and Hyperion trial balance uploads, coordinating with FP&A and IT teams to ensure data integrity in reporting systems.
- • Serve as a back-up for various areas within the Shared Service Department, stepping in to cover absences or peak workloads in AR, AP, payroll, or billing functions.
- • Assist with ad hoc requests as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to evolving business needs from finance leadership or operational teams.
- • Assist in the development and improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and align with best practices.
