📋 Description

• The Accounting Manager will lead critical accounting functions for a corporate shared services entity that supports multiple brands within a marketing-focused holding company, ensuring accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency across accounting, AR, AP, payroll, and related functions.
• This role is pivotal in maintaining financial integrity, supporting audit readiness, and enabling data-driven decision-making for corporate leadership through timely month-end close, intercompany reconciliation, and management reporting.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include managing general ledger operations, reviewing and approving journal entries (including prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, deferred rent, and AMEX), overseeing staff to meet close deadlines, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring GL accuracy through transaction-level analysis.
• The Accounting Manager will liaise with AR, Billing, AP, and Finance teams to resolve inquiries, oversee intercompany reconciliation processes, support Hyperion trial balance uploads, assist with year-end tax schedules, and prepare audit schedules while serving as a backup for other Shared Service Department functions.
• They will also assist with ad hoc requests, contribute to process improvements, and provide monthly financial results analysis to heads of Shared Services functions under the direction of the Client Brand Controller.
• The role operates within a dynamic, U.S.-focused nearshore staff augmentation model, where the candidate will collaborate with a global team of 600+ tech and finance professionals based in Latin America, supporting innovative marketing brands undergoing digital transformation.
• The Accounting Manager will develop leadership and technical expertise in complex corporate accounting, including GAAP compliance, SEC disclosure requirements, consolidations, and ERP-driven financial systems, while gaining exposure to high-impact projects with Fortune 500 and scaling U.S. companies.
• This position offers significant growth potential in financial management, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced, results-oriented environment that values autonomy, accountability, and continuous learning.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years managing an accounting team
• CPA (or equivalent) preferred; strong technical accounting skills with knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and SEC disclosure requirements
• Experience with large ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Intacct, NetSuite, Maconomy, etc.) and advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables)
• Proven ability to reconcile accounts, perform GL analysis, manage month-end close, and oversee intercompany eliminations and consolidations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; located in LATAM with fluency in English
