📋 Description

• The Accounting Manager will lead critical accounting functions for a corporate shared services entity that supports multiple brands within a challenger holding company focused on transforming marketing, ensuring accurate financial reporting and operational integrity across accounting, AR, AP, payroll, and related functions.
• This role is pivotal in maintaining financial controls, enabling timely month-end close, and providing actionable financial insights to support corporate decision-making and brand-level performance tracking.
• The person will manage day-to-day general ledger operations, oversee accounting staff, review and validate complex journal entries and reconciliations, ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC standards, and serve as a key liaison between finance, tax, audit, and shared services teams.
• Daily responsibilities include supervising month-end close processes, reviewing prepaid, fixed assets, accruals, deferred rent, and AMEX entries, overseeing intercompany reconciliations, preparing audit schedules, supporting year-end tax preparations, and maintaining organized financial documentation systems.
• The Accounting Manager will also assist with Hyperion trial balance uploads, act as a backup for other shared services functions, and respond to ad hoc requests from corporate and brand controllers while ensuring deadlines are met with precision and accountability.
• The team operates within a U.S.-headquartered nearshore staff augmentation provider with over 600 tech professionals across Latin America, delivering shared services to innovative marketing brands; this role offers exposure to complex, multi-entity financial structures in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
• The successful candidate will deepen expertise in corporate accounting, consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and financial reporting systems while developing leadership skills in managing accounting teams and influencing financial strategy within a global, U.S.-client-facing organization.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• CPA (or equivalent) preferred
• 5-7 years of accounting experience with minimum 2 years managing an accounting team
• Experience with large ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Intacct, NetSuite, Maconomy, etc.) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables)
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of GAAP, FASB, SEC disclosure requirements, and ability to perform GL analysis and account reconciliations
• Prior experience with consolidations and intercompany eliminations
