📋 Description

• Lead and oversee the month-end close process for multiple legal entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in alignment with GAAP standards.
• Manage the end-to-end accounting cycle including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, deferrals, and intercompany eliminations across all subsidiaries.
• Coordinate with department heads to collect, validate, and analyze operational data required for financial close, ensuring completeness and compliance.
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for internal and external stakeholders.
• Implement and optimize accounting workflows and controls to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance accuracy during the close process.
• Leverage AI and LLM tools to automate repetitive accounting tasks such as data extraction, anomaly detection, reconciliation matching, and report generation.
• Train and mentor accounting team members on new technologies, process improvements, and compliance requirements related to AI-assisted accounting practices.
• Collaborate with external auditors during annual and quarterly audits, providing documentation, explanations, and support for financial reporting.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations, tax implications, and industry best practices applicable to multi-entity corporate structures.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the accounting function, focusing on close cycle time, error rates, and process automation metrics.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for finance leadership on operational accounting matters, providing insights and recommendations based on financial data.
• Ensure all accounting systems and tools (e.g., ERP platforms, automation software) are properly configured, maintained, and integrated with AI-driven analytics modules.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual workloads through technology adoption, including AI-powered invoice processing, predictive cash flow modeling, and automated variance analysis.
• Participate in cross-functional projects involving finance transformation, system migrations, and digitalization initiatives with a focus on AI integration.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity across all financial records and systems, adhering to internal controls and compliance policies.
• Prepare monthly management reports summarizing financial performance, operational trends, and risks, with actionable insights for senior leadership.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing historical data analysis and variance explanations derived from automated reporting tools.
• Ensure all accounting documentation is properly archived and accessible for audit trails, regulatory requests, and internal reviews.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including direct responsibility for month-end close processes
• Proven experience implementing or utilizing AI/LLM tools to automate accounting workflows
• CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred
• Expertise in ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle Financials
• Strong understanding of GAAP and multi-entity financial reporting
