📋 Description

• Join Rootstock Labs Ltd as an Accounts Payable Analyst, a pivotal role within our dynamic Finance team, operating entirely remotely from South America or Europe.
• This position is instrumental in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our financial operations by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all invoices and payments.
• You will be entrusted with the comprehensive management of the entire accounts payable cycle, from initial invoice receipt through to final payment and reconciliation.
• A key aspect of this role involves cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with our diverse vendor base, serving as a primary point of contact for inquiries and issue resolution.
• Your meticulous attention to detail will be crucial in reviewing invoices for proper approvals, verifying supporting documentation, and ensuring strict adherence to purchase orders and contractual agreements.
• You will be responsible for the preparation and execution of regular payment runs, ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on time, thereby fostering positive and reliable business partnerships.
• Proactively identify and resolve any discrepancies or payment issues that may arise, demonstrating a commitment to accuracy and problem-solving.
• A significant responsibility will be the reconciliation of the accounts payable ledger against the general ledger, ensuring that our financial records are consistently accurate and up-to-date.
• You will play an active role in supporting the critical month-end and year-end closing processes, contributing essential data and performing necessary reconciliations to facilitate timely financial reporting.
• Upholding compliance with internal policies and robust financial controls is paramount; you will ensure all AP activities align with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Be prepared to assist external auditors by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to accounts payable activities, demonstrating transparency and preparedness.

• The ideal candidate will be adept at administrative and accounting processes, including but not limited to journal entries, accruals, provisions, reconciliations, and supporting month-end closing procedures.
• Experience with ERP systems is highly valued, with a particular advantage for candidates familiar with Microsoft Dynamics.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet software, specifically Excel and Google Sheets, is essential for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
• A high degree of accuracy and an unwavering attention to detail are non-negotiable for this role, ensuring the integrity of financial data.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills are required to effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are necessary for clear and effective interaction with colleagues and external partners.
• Given that the accounting team primarily communicates in Spanish, proficiency in Spanish is a significant advantage and will greatly enhance your ability to integrate and contribute effectively.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance role.
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Intermediate/Advanced written and verbal English communication skills.
• Spanish proficiency is a strong advantage.
• Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics is a plus).
