📋 Description

• The Accounts Payable/Purchasing Card Specialist is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the purchasing card program and supporting Accounts Payable functions, ensuring accurate financial processing and compliance.
• Daily responsibilities include maintaining purchasing card accounts, reviewing transaction data and reconciliations, serving as a liaison to the issuing bank, managing supplier records, processing invoices, managing cash flow, preparing 1099s, and overseeing the escheatment process.
• SIH, Inc. is a healthcare organization committed to operational excellence, where the Accounting Department plays a critical role in financial integrity and vendor management.
• The role offers opportunities to develop expertise in purchasing card systems, financial controls, and vendor relations, while contributing to process improvements and training initiatives that enhance departmental efficiency and compliance.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 2 years of technical experience in accounting or financial operations
• Experience managing purchasing card (PCARD) programs including account setup, reconciliation, and merchant category code application
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable processes including invoice processing, supplier management, and 1099 reporting
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners such as issuing banks
• Experience in training end-users and developing procedural documentation
