- • The Accounts Receivable Specialist 2 role at Vision Service Plan is critical to maintaining healthy cash flow and financial operations by managing billing, collections, and account reconciliation for mid to large-market customers and strategic relationships across all Lines of Business.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include serving as the primary point of contact for billing and collection inquiries, researching and resolving complex internal and external issues, performing moderate to complex AR activities such as billing, cash application, reconciliation, and exception handling, creating billing documents, and using data-driven analysis to resolve disputes and payment issues.
- • The role involves executing collection activities to maximize cash flow, recommending billing adjustments and write-offs, preparing accurate billing and reconciliation reports, identifying at-risk customers, and collaborating with Sales, Management, and business partners to solve receivables-impacting issues.
- • The specialist ensures data integrity and compliance with security policies, helps onboard and mentor new teammates, identifies and escalates process or system issues, and provides education on billing capabilities to support complex customer requirements and performance standards.
- • This role offers the opportunity to develop deep expertise in accounts receivable and collections, strengthen analytical and problem-solving skills, gain experience in ERP-based financial systems (with SAP preference), and grow professionally in a distributed, mission-driven organization committed to equity and compliance.
🎯 Requirements
- • Two to four years of Account Service or Banking/Accounts Receivable experience or equivalent experience demonstrating relationship-building and issue-resolution abilities
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- • One year of experience working in an ERP-based Accounts Receivable environment preferred; solid understanding of basic accounting principles and familiarity with SAP preferred
