- • Manage the full accounts receivable cycle for Xpansiv Inc., ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- • Generate and distribute customer invoices promptly following established billing procedures and contractual terms for energy and environmental commodity transactions.
- • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and proactively follow up with clients on overdue payments to maintain optimal cash flow.
- • Reconcile bank statements and payment postings with general ledger entries to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
- • Collaborate with the finance and customer success teams to resolve billing discrepancies, payment disputes, and invoice clarifications.
- • Maintain detailed records of all receivables transactions in the company’s financial system, ensuring audit readiness and data integrity.
- • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly receivables reports for internal stakeholders, highlighting key metrics such as DSO, outstanding balances, and collection trends.
- • Ensure all receivables activities comply with company policies, financial regulations, and industry standards for environmental commodity markets.
- • Support month-end and year-end closing processes by providing accurate receivables data and assisting with audit preparation.
- • Work closely with external auditors and internal compliance teams to provide documentation and explanations for receivables-related transactions.
- • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in invoicing, collections, and reporting workflows.
- • Communicate professionally with clients regarding payment terms, outstanding balances, and billing inquiries in alignment with company standards.
- • Assist in the onboarding of new clients by setting up accurate payment terms and credit profiles within the financial system.
- • Stay updated on changes to tax regulations, currency exchange rates, and payment methods relevant to international energy and environmental commodity transactions.
- • Maintain confidentiality and data security of all financial information related to clients, transactions, and internal financial systems.
- • Support ad hoc financial projects as assigned by the Finance Manager, including special analyses or reporting requests related to receivables.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience in accounts receivable or general accounting functions, preferably within energy, commodities, or environmental markets
- • Proficiency in financial ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
- • Strong understanding of invoicing, payment reconciliation, and aging report management
- • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping
- • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- • Excellent communication skills for client interactions and cross-functional collaboration
