- • The Accounts Receivable Specialist I role is critical to Labcorp’s financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely posting of payments from private and government payers to support healthcare revenue cycle integrity and cash flow.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include processing and posting accounts receivable from assigned payers within turnaround time targets, posting electronic remittances into the billing system, researching payer websites for posting documentation, utilizing reports, macros, and tools to balance files with money received, identifying payer-specific issues and trends, and ensuring aged AR is resolved per standard operating procedures.
- • Labcorp is a global leader in life sciences and healthcare diagnostics, dedicated to accelerating life-changing breakthroughs and improving care delivery worldwide; this remote role contributes directly to that mission by maintaining financial accuracy in a high-volume, mission-driven environment.
- • In this role, you will develop expertise in healthcare revenue cycle management, gain proficiency with billing systems and AR workflows, strengthen analytical and problem-solving skills through trend identification, and build experience in cross-functional communication with leadership and partner teams—laying a foundation for career growth in finance, accounting, or healthcare operations.
🎯 Requirements
- • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- • 1 year or more accounts receivable experience
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
- • Experience working in an office or administrative setting
- • Strong communication skills and ability to manage time and tasks independently
- • Preferred: 1+ years of experience in health insurance, medical claims, explanation of benefits, cash posting, billing, or Revenue Cycle Management
