  • • As a Commercial Pricing Actuarial Analyst at Mobilitas, a commercial insurance company powered by CSAA Insurance Group, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of commercial insurance within the mobility space. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and coordinate comprehensive analyses crucial for insurance rating, directly impacting the profitability and competitiveness of our offerings.
  • • You will be instrumental in supporting individual account pricing, meticulously evaluating specific risks and developing tailored pricing strategies. This involves delving into data, applying actuarial principles, and making informed recommendations to ensure our pricing is both accurate and attractive to our clients.
  • • Beyond individual accounts, you will conduct sophisticated portfolio ratemaking analyses. This entails examining broader trends, identifying patterns, and developing pricing models that reflect the overall risk profile of our commercial auto insurance portfolio. Your insights will guide strategic decisions about market positioning and product development.
  • • This role offers the opportunity to lead projects of moderate complexity, demonstrating your ability to manage tasks, collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver impactful results. You will be empowered to take ownership of initiatives, from conception through to execution, contributing significantly to the team's success.
  • • A core aspect of your work will involve conducting actuarially sound statistical analysis. This requires selecting appropriate data sources, formulating sound assumptions, and translating complex data into actionable recommendations for pricing strategies. Your analytical rigor will be key to our success.
  • • You will be responsible for meticulously documenting your assumptions, methodologies, data sources, and all relevant considerations. This ensures transparency, reproducibility, and facilitates knowledge sharing within the team and across departments.
  • • Preparing clear and concise actuarial findings and documentation is essential. These documents must be suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences, requiring you to translate complex actuarial concepts into understandable language for stakeholders across the organization.
  • • Collaboration is central to this role. You will actively participate in peer reviews, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring the highest quality of work, and driving innovation in our actuarial practices. This collaborative spirit extends to working closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, finance, and claims, to provide essential actuarial support and insights.
  • • Staying abreast of industry developments is critical. You will continuously monitor industry trends, the competitive market landscape, and emerging actuarial methods and tools to ensure our pricing strategies remain cutting-edge and effective.
  • • Depending on your experience level, you may have the opportunity to provide mentorship and guidance to more junior colleagues, contributing to their professional development and fostering a strong team environment.
  • • You will also provide analytical support to other functions on an ad hoc basis, leveraging your actuarial expertise to address diverse business needs and challenges as they arise.
  • • This role is posted as a level IV Actuarial Analyst, but we are open to considering candidates at levels III through V, allowing for flexibility based on experience and qualifications. This ensures we find the best fit for both the candidate and the company.
  • • The position is remote, offering flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States, with the exceptions of Hawaii and Alaska, allowing for a better work-life balance.
  • • You will contribute to a mission-driven organization dedicated to empowering members, employees, and communities to thrive, working within a company that values innovation and pushing the boundaries of traditional insurance.
