  • • Own the U.S. external communications engine for a global leader in digital health and sleep technology, translating complex medical innovation into stories that move both clinicians and consumers to action.
  • • Act as an internal investigative reporter—mining insights from product, clinical, regulatory, and marketing teams to uncover narratives that position ResMed as the definitive authority on sleep and respiratory care.
  • • Build and maintain a living editorial calendar that synchronizes product launches, executive thought-leadership moments, partnership announcements, and earned-media opportunities across B2B and B2C channels.
  • • Write and edit high-impact content—press releases, messaging frameworks, reactive statements, blogs, and executive talking points—always adhering to AP style, journalistic integrity, and strict clinical/regulatory review standards.
  • • Cultivate and deepen relationships with top-tier U.S. healthcare trade outlets (e.g., HME News, Sleep Review) and select consumer media (e.g., WSJ, NYT, Fast Company) through proactive, data-driven pitches and rapid-response commentary.
  • • Partner with the Senior Manager, External Communications to manage a best-in-class PR agency—setting KPIs, approving budgets, tracking deliverables, and ensuring every campaign ladders up to ResMed’s growth and reputation objectives.
  • • Serve as the communications quarterback for cross-functional launches: align medical affairs on clinical evidence, marketing on brand voice, product on feature narratives, and legal/compliance on risk mitigation—delivering one cohesive story to market.
  • • Expand ResMed’s thought-leadership footprint by identifying speaking slots, award submissions, podcast guest spots, and byline opportunities for C-suite and subject-matter experts; maintain a rolling speakership bureau calendar.
  • • Amplify earned media through paid and organic social by collaborating with the digital team to repurpose coverage into snackable LinkedIn posts, Twitter threads, and Instagram stories that reach patients, providers, and investors alike.
  • • Monitor daily media and social chatter using Meltwater or similar tools; distill insights into concise briefs that inform executive decision-making and keep global teams ahead of reputational risks.
  • • Manage end-to-end approval workflows in Veeva PromoMats or equivalent systems—routing press materials through clinical, legal, regulatory, IR, and compliance sign-offs without missing news-cycle deadlines.
  • • Define KPIs (share of voice, message pull-through, sentiment, referral traffic) and build monthly dashboards that quantify PR impact and guide continuous improvement.
  • • Continually grow a robust network of key-opinion-leader (KOL) clinicians and patient advocates, turning their real-world experiences into authentic storytelling assets for media and content campaigns.
  • • Champion diversity of voice in every story, ensuring representation across gender, ethnicity, geography, and clinical specialty to reflect the millions of lives ResMed touches worldwide.
