Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI and machine learning models—including NLP, classification, regression, and computer vision—optimized for Medicare Advantage workloads such as claims processing, risk adjustment, and member communication, with rigorous monitoring and drift detection to ensure model integrity.
- • Build and operate intelligent process automation solutions using RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate) and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect), identifying high-volume repetitive processes, evaluating ROI, and maintaining fault-tolerant workflows with error handling and alerting.
- • Develop and maintain AI/ML data infrastructure and pipelines, including ETL and feature engineering systems that support model training, validation, and real-time inference, while managing infrastructure for efficient experimentation, retraining, and monitoring in a regulated environment.
- • Integrate deployed AI models and automation services into enterprise systems via REST APIs and microservices, ensuring full compliance with HIPAA security and privacy standards, and containerizing deployments using Docker and Kubernetes with CI/CD pipelines for reproducible releases.
- • Implement LLM-powered applications and generative AI capabilities by integrating large language models into clinical and operational workflows using prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), leveraging agentic AI frameworks for end-to-end workflow transformation in areas like clinical document intelligence and member engagement.
- • Continuously monitor, test, and optimize AI models, data pipelines, and automation bots to improve accuracy, latency, and scalability, implementing proactive monitoring and alerting frameworks to detect degradation or data quality issues before they impact member outcomes or operational throughput.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with AI Scientists, Data Engineers, Product Managers, Clinical Operations, and Application Engineering teams to translate complex business problems into technical specifications, contributing to knowledge sharing through documentation and code reviews, and evaluating emerging AI technologies including responsible AI practices such as bias detection and model explainability.
- • This is an individual contributor role with no direct supervisory responsibilities; however, the engineer is expected to provide informal technical mentorship to peers and junior team members through code reviews, documentation, and collaborative problem-solving.
- • Maintain working knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements in production AI systems, ensuring all systems adhere to HIPAA and other regulatory standards for data security and privacy.
- • Apply AI, NLP, and ML techniques to healthcare-specific data domains including claims processing, revenue cycle management, prior authorization, medical coding, and clinical text understanding to drive operational efficiency and improve member care.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–5 years of professional experience in software engineering with a demonstrated focus on AI/ML, data science, or intelligent process automation
- • Hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning models in a production cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- • Demonstrated experience with the full AI/ML model lifecycle: data preparation, training, validation, deployment, and monitoring
- • Experience in a regulated industry (healthcare, insurance, or financial services) with working knowledge of compliance requirements in production AI systems
- • Experience developing and deploying automation solutions using RPA platforms or workflow orchestration tools
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field; equivalent combination of education and demonstrated hands-on experience will be considered
🏖️ Benefits
- • Pay range of $130,332.00 - $195,498.00 based on market location, education, responsibilities, and experience
- • Opportunity to work on mission-critical systems that directly improve care for Medicare Advantage members and reduce administrative burden in healthcare
- • Remote work flexibility with location anywhere in the U.S.
- • Exposure to cutting-edge AI technologies including LLMs, RAG pipelines, agentic AI frameworks, and cloud AI platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure AI, Google Vertex AI)
