📋 Description
- • Build and deploy end-to-end AI vision and robotics applications to production on real-world and simulated robotic systems in live manufacturing environments.
- • Own technical delivery from application design through deployment and iterative improvement, ensuring applications run 24/7 on customer production lines.
- • Monitor, diagnose, and resolve issues in deployed AI and robotics applications, maintaining system reliability and performance.
- • Configure logging, observability, and alerting systems to track application health and behavior in field deployments.
- • Monitor and re-train AI models in production, performing A/B testing and re-deploying updates with confidence and minimal downtime.
- • Generate and curate real-world data to improve model accuracy and application performance over time.
- • Collaborate closely with AI and engineering teams to integrate components and deliver production-grade robotic solutions.
- • Support the Forward Deploy Engineering team by providing deep technical investigation and resolution for field-reported issues.
- • Work with industrial imaging hardware including 2D/3D cameras and stereo vision systems to ensure optimal data capture for AI models.
- • Apply MLOps practices to manage the lifecycle of AI models from training to deployment and monitoring.
- • Use Docker to containerize and standardize deployment environments across diverse robotic hardware configurations.
- • Operate within ROS or ROS2 environments to interface with robotic platforms and control systems.
- • Translate complex technical challenges into structured, efficient solutions and communicate them clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- • Travel regularly to customer sites across Europe to oversee deployments, troubleshoot on-site issues, and gather field feedback.
- • Directly influence the evolution of the company’s AI and robotics platform through field-derived insights and operational experience.
- • Contribute to the development of scalable, flexible automation solutions tailored for small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong background in 2D/3D computer vision and deep learning with at least 2 years building production-grade solutions
- • Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and computer vision frameworks such as OpenCV
- • Experience training and deploying AI models with familiarity with MLOps practices and Docker
- • Experience with ROS or ROS2 and familiarity with robotics systems
- • Experience with industrial imaging hardware such as 2D/3D cameras or stereo vision systems
- • Ability to break down complex problems into structured solutions and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
