📋 Description
- • Guidehouse is seeking an innovative AI Engineering Productivity Lead to spearhead the design and implementation of an AI-native engineering delivery model. This pivotal role is instrumental in transforming coding agents and Generative AI (GenAI) tooling into robust, repeatable, secure, and measurable workflows. By focusing on accelerating delivery speed and enhancing the quality of software development across the entire lifecycle, this position will deliver shared tooling, established patterns, and reusable assets that will be adopted by delivery teams at scale, fundamentally improving how Guidehouse builds and deploys solutions.
- • The day-to-day responsibilities of the AI Engineering Productivity Lead are multifaceted and critical to the success of AI integration in engineering. You will be tasked with defining and rolling out AI-assisted development practices that seamlessly integrate into existing Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and delivery frameworks. This includes establishing clear guidelines on how to effectively scope work for coding agents, setting precise acceptance criteria for AI-generated outputs, and implementing efficient processes for reviewing AI-generated changes. A key aspect of the role involves coordinating closely with IT, Security, and other relevant teams to ensure that the usage of development tools strictly adheres to Enterprise guidelines and security protocols. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive starter kits, repository templates, and reference implementations that showcase common AI delivery patterns, such as secure Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agent workflows, evaluation harnesses, and enterprise integrations, complete with thorough documentation and clear onboarding paths for adoption. Furthermore, you will establish safe-by-default configurations and usage standards for AI coding assistants and agent tooling, encompassing permissions models, data handling rules, sandboxing patterns, secrets management, and audit logging expectations, all meticulously aligned with enterprise controls. A significant part of your role will involve defining the instrumentation and reporting mechanisms for AI-assisted delivery, tracking key metrics like cycle-time impact, defect and rework rates attributable to AI output, model and tool usage, cost and latency, and policy violations. The insights derived from this data will be published in actionable dashboards for both leadership and delivery teams. You will proactively identify workflow friction points specifically related to AI tooling adoption, such as context setup, repository conventions, review burden, test gaps, and security approval bottlenecks, and then prioritize and deliver practical solutions through automation, guidance, and reusable assets. Driving adoption will be achieved through hands-on enablement, including developing playbooks, conducting office hours, delivering training sessions, and curating effective workflow patterns, empowering delivery teams to extend shared AI assets safely and consistently. You will also partner closely with delivery, security, and platform stakeholders to iteratively refine policies and paved-road patterns based on telemetry data, developer feedback, and learnings from incidents. Finally, you will stay abreast of emerging AI-assisted engineering and AgentOps capabilities, rapidly evaluating new tools and platform features for their security, quality, cost, and developer impact, and publishing clear recommendations and adoption guidance on which AI tools should be standardized across the organization.
- • The AI Engineering Productivity Lead will operate within a dynamic and forward-thinking environment, contributing to Guidehouse’s strategic vision for AI-driven innovation. This role is crucial for fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technological advancement within the engineering organization. You will be part of a team that is at the forefront of adopting cutting-edge AI technologies to solve complex challenges and deliver exceptional value to clients.
- • In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to significantly influence the future of software engineering practices at Guidehouse. You will gain deep expertise in AI-assisted development, AgentOps, and developer productivity strategies. The position offers a platform to develop and implement innovative solutions that have a tangible impact on delivery speed, quality, and efficiency, while also honing your skills in stakeholder management, change leadership, and technical strategy within a leading consulting firm.
