- • End-to-end ownership of AI products: from Jupyter notebook ideation to Kubernetes deployment, you will shepherd proof-of-concepts into fault-tolerant, horizontally-scalable services that run 24/7 in multiple languages and time-zones.
- • Architect and fine-tune Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines that read from 50+ internal knowledge bases, CRM tickets and community forums, then answer with sub-second latency and 95 % factual accuracy. You decide chunking strategies, embedding models, vector indexes and re-rankers.
- • Design autonomous agentic systems that can break a complex support ticket into sub-tasks, call external APIs, query SQL warehouses, post updates back to Zendesk and learn from feedback loops—without human intervention.
- • Write bullet-proof prompts: craft few-shot templates, chain-of-thought reasoning and JSON-mode instructions that steer GPT-4, Claude, Llama and in-house models to return structured, brand-safe replies in the company tone of voice.
- • Establish rigorous evaluation frameworks—unit tests, regression suites, LLM-as-a-judge, A/B shadow mode and human-in-the-loop labeling—to guarantee every model release improves CSAT, First-Contact-Resolution and Average Handle Time.
- • Partner with product managers, UX researchers and 500+ frontline agents to discover pain points, annotate data and co-create solutions that reduce repetitive clicks and free human empathy for the cases that matter most.
- • Champion MLOps best practices: Git-flow, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, containerised micro-services, Prometheus metrics, Grafana dashboards, automated rollback and canary releases that keep uptime above 99.9 %.
- • Stay ahead of the curve: run weekly paper clubs on ArXiv, prototype new transformer architectures, test quantized models for on-prem cost savings, and present findings to an audience that ranges from C-suite to summer interns.
- • Mentor junior engineers and data scientists; create internal wikis, brown-bag sessions and code templates that multiply the team’s velocity and bake reproducibility into the culture.
- • Influence roadmap and budget: your impact analysis will decide whether we fine-tune a 70-billion-parameter model or stay with clever prompting—saving six-figure cloud costs while delivering better user experience.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of production-grade Python, including async FastAPI or Flask micro-services, pytest, type hints and clean architecture patterns.
- • Hands-on experience with Large Language Models—prompt engineering, function calling, fine-tuning (LoRA/QLoRA) and evaluation metrics such as BLEU, ROUGE, BERTScore or custom reward models.
- • Solid SQL skills (PostgreSQL, MySQL or BigQuery) and ability to write performant joins across million-row tables for feature extraction and analytics.
- • Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, PGVector) and building RAG systems that retrieve, rank and generate context-aware answers.
- • Comfortable in Linux environments, Docker containers, Git version control and basic DevOps tooling (CI pipelines, Terraform, Helm or similar).
- • Nice to have: experience designing autonomous agent frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGPT), building RESTful APIs at >100 rps scale, or contributing to open-source ML projects.
