đź“‹ Description
- • As an AI/ML Engineer/Architect at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), you will be at the forefront of transforming complex defense and government missions through the strategic application of artificial intelligence and machine learning. This pivotal role offers the unique opportunity to shape and implement cutting-edge AI/ML solutions that directly impact national security, enhance operational readiness, and drive faster, more informed decision-making for critical programs.
- • You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying scalable, secure, and compliant AI/ML architectures tailored to the demanding requirements of GDIT's Defense sector. This involves understanding the intricate needs of fleet operations, cyber defense, and logistics, and translating them into robust technical strategies.
- • A core aspect of your responsibility will be to collaborate closely with diverse, cross-functional teams. This includes working hand-in-hand with data scientists to refine models, systems engineers to integrate solutions into existing infrastructure, and enterprise architects to ensure alignment with broader technological roadmaps. Your ability to bridge the gap between theoretical AI/ML concepts and practical, deployable systems will be key to success.
- • You will be tasked with driving tangible outcomes that deliver significant value. This includes optimizing data processing pipelines for speed and efficiency, enhancing the predictive accuracy of AI models, and accelerating the deployment lifecycle of these models across complex command and control networks.
- • The role requires hands-on experience with a wide array of advanced technologies. You will leverage state-of-the-art frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch, alongside containerization and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, to build and manage AI/ML environments. A strong emphasis will be placed on adhering to stringent security protocols and compliance standards mandated by the Department of Defense (DoW).
- • Furthermore, you will be at the cutting edge of agentic AI development. This involves designing and implementing systems that utilize frameworks like Crew AI, LangChain, and LangGraph, integrating with powerful models like OpenAI, and understanding protocols such as Model Context Protocol (MCP). The goal is to enable AI agents to autonomously execute multi-step tasks, utilize tools effectively, and maintain context and memory over extended operations.
- • Your expertise will be crucial in developing and presenting comprehensive AI proposals. This includes conducting thorough feasibility studies, providing accurate cost estimations, and outlining clear implementation roadmaps that align with client objectives and GDIT's strategic vision.
- • You will also play a consultative role, engaging with stakeholders to identify new opportunities where AI/ML can provide transformative solutions. This requires excellent consultative selling skills, the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner, and a deep understanding of the value proposition of AI/ML in the defense and federal government space.
- • Leadership and communication are paramount. You will be expected to distill complex requirements into actionable deliverables, guide multidisciplinary teams through the development process, and foster a collaborative environment focused on innovation and mission success.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that directly supports national security objectives. You will be part of a dynamic team that is pushing the boundaries of what's possible with AI/ML, making a real-world impact on critical government initiatives.
- • The position requires an active Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance, underscoring the sensitive nature of the work. US citizenship is a mandatory requirement for this role.
- • GDIT offers a supportive and growth-oriented environment, including an AI-powered career tool to identify learning opportunities, an internal mobility team, and a commitment to employee development. You will also benefit from comprehensive rewards, including competitive pay, a 401K with company match, and a flexible work environment.
- • The role involves a degree of travel, up to 25%, to engage with clients and teams, and the flexibility to work remotely is a key feature of this position, offering a full-flex work week to balance professional and personal priorities.
