📋 Description

• Lead the newly formed AI Operations team at M-KOPA to design, ship, and scale automations and AI agents that improve internal operations and support financial inclusion across Africa.
• Own delivery and development of two AI Ops Engineers, prioritize cross-team requests, and build measurable automations using agentic frameworks and enterprise tooling.
• Join a mission-driven fintech recognized by TIME 100 and Financial Times as a global leader, scaling AI tooling for 2,500+ employees across Africa, the UK, and Europe.
• Shape a new function from the ground up — prove impact, grow the team, and integrate AI into internal workflows and customer-facing products with a product-focused, hands-on approach.

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience building automations using scripting, workflow tools, or AI-assisted development
• Hands-on experience building agents using agentic frameworks such as LangChain, MCP, or Google ADK
• Background in enterprise tooling including identity automation (Entra), rapid prototyping (Vercel/Railway), or internal platforms
• People leadership experience leading or mentoring engineers and owning team delivery and development
