📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain automated workflows for user provisioning, de-provisioning, onboarding, and offboarding across enterprise SaaS platforms including Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, and Rippling.
• Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) systems with role-based access control (RBAC), least-privilege enforcement, and automated access reviews aligned with SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance requirements.
• Build and maintain reliable integrations between enterprise systems using REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures to enable seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
• Automate IT service management (ITSM) processes including ticket routing, lifecycle management, and CMDB updates within the company’s ITSM platform to reduce manual intervention.
• Develop automated controls and evidence collection pipelines to support ongoing SOC 2 and HIPAA audits, ensuring continuous compliance across IT infrastructure and SaaS applications.
• Administer and automate core enterprise SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, Okta, or equivalent systems to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient user management.
• Write clear and comprehensive technical documentation for all automation solutions, ensuring knowledge transfer and operational continuity across the IT team.
• Participate actively in architecture reviews and code reviews to ensure robust, maintainable, and scalable automation systems.
• Collaborate with Staff Engineer and IT leadership to define technical strategy, prioritize high-impact projects, and execute complex integrations independently.
• Query and manage relational databases using SQL to support automation logic, data syncing, and compliance reporting needs.
• Communicate technical trade-offs, project status, and system changes effectively to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
• Ensure all automation solutions operate within a HIPAA-compliant and SOC 2-audited environment, with strict adherence to data privacy and security controls.
• Maintain and improve endpoint management systems such as JAMF or Fleet where applicable to enforce device security policies and automate software deployment.
• Evaluate and implement workflow automation platforms like Workato, Zapier, or Okta Workflows to reduce manual IT tasks and improve scalability.
• Stay current with evolving enterprise IT standards and compliance frameworks to proactively adapt automation strategies to regulatory and operational changes.

🎯 Requirements

• 5–8 years in IT Engineering, IT Apps Development, or a closely related discipline with meaningful experience in enterprise automation
• Proficient in Python or an equivalent modern scripting/programming language used for automation and backend logic
• Strong working experience with REST APIs and the ability to build reliable integrations independently from API documentation
• Hands-on familiarity with administering and automating major enterprise SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, Okta, or similar)
• Working knowledge of identity lifecycle management, SSO, SCIM provisioning, and RBAC concepts
• Comfort querying and managing relational databases using SQL
• Familiarity with SOC 2 or HIPAA requirements as they relate to IT controls and access management
• Able to clearly communicate technical work and trade-offs to both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders
