📋 Description
- • Own the architecture, delivery, and long-term operation of high-impact backend systems at the intersection of backend engineering and product analytics infrastructure, ensuring reliability of production systems and trustworthiness of generated data.
- • Set technical direction, define engineering standards, and lead 1–3 engineers while remaining hands-on in the codebase, driving backend and analytics initiatives from conception to production.
- • Join Latamcent, a company focused on scalable backend and analytics infrastructure for consumer or product-led applications, where engineering excellence and data integrity are paramount.
- • Conduct audits of backend and analytics systems, establish engineering standards and KPIs, own event taxonomy and data governance, ship experimentation infrastructure, debug identity systems, introduce AI-assisted workflows, and mentor engineers to build team capability.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years building and maintaining backend systems on AWS
- • Strong experience building backend services for mobile applications (iOS and Android)
- • Owned analytics infrastructure at a consumer or product-led company — has taken tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Segment from messy to trustworthy
- • Backend engineering depth on user and identity systems in Python or Node.js production environments
- • Solid experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- • Has led 1–3 engineers, set technical direction, and upskilled non-data engineers
