- • Build and maintain AI-powered features and agentic workflows that power Elliptic's copilot using LLM frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph.
- • Design prompts, tool integrations, and retrieval pipelines to transform complex blockchain data into actionable insights for compliance investigators.
- • Develop and run evaluations to measure and improve the quality, reliability, and latency of LLM outputs, including building eval sets and using observability tools like LangSmith, Langfuse, or Arize.
- • Design and build backend services, APIs, and event-driven systems in TypeScript and Node.js to support AI-driven features.
- • Collaborate with product managers, domain experts, web engineers, and engineering leads to take features from prototype to production.
- • Participate in technical design reviews, planning sessions, and code reviews to ensure robust and scalable AI system architecture.
- • Prioritize observability, cost efficiency, and reliability of LLM-based systems in production, monitoring performance and resource usage.
- • Translate complex blockchain transaction data into intuitive, user-friendly AI experiences that help compliance teams trace fund flows, detect patterns, and respond to risk in real time.
- • Work cross-functionally to align AI system capabilities with product goals and user needs, ensuring features deliver measurable improvements in investigator efficiency and confidence.
- • Continuously iterate on prompt engineering, tool calling, subagent design, and context window management to optimize LLM performance and reduce hallucinations.
- • Contribute to the evolution of Elliptic’s AI infrastructure by identifying bottlenecks, proposing architectural improvements, and implementing scalable solutions for high-volume transaction analysis.
- • Maintain a strong focus on system trade-offs specific to LLMs, balancing cost, latency, and output quality while ensuring deterministic behavior where required.
- • Engage in knowledge sharing and mentorship within the team to elevate collective expertise in AI engineering and blockchain data processing.
- • Ensure all AI systems comply with internal quality standards and regulatory expectations in the crypto compliance space.
- • Contribute to documentation, testing, and deployment processes for AI features to maintain operational excellence and reproducibility.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3 to 6 years of software engineering experience with meaningful hands-on work building LLM-powered features in production.
- • Direct experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar.
- • Practical understanding of prompt engineering, tool/function calling, subagents, structured outputs, and managing context windows.
- • Experience evaluating LLM outputs and iterating on prompts/pipelines, including building eval sets, measuring quality, and using observability tools (LangSmith, Langfuse, Arize, or similar).
- • Strong backend skills in TypeScript / Node.js, with solid API design.
- • Cloud experience (AWS: Lambda, ECS, S3, or similar).
- • Database proficiency across SQL (Postgres) and some NoSQL exposure.
- • Clear thinking about system design and trade-offs specific to LLM systems: cost vs latency vs quality, deterministic vs probabilistic behaviour.
- • Strong collaboration skills across engineering, product, and design.
