• • As a Senior AI Research Engineer at Plumerai, you will play a pivotal role in developing and advancing our state-of-the-art AI products. Your responsibilities will span a wide spectrum, from enhancing our core training algorithms and integrating multimodal LLMs to building and optimizing our data pipelines, and designing novel model architectures. You will also apply established machine learning approaches and devise ingenious algorithms to tackle complex challenges. Your contributions will directly impact the AI features shipped to millions of camera devices globally, as we collectively build the most advanced AI for embedded devices.
• • You will be instrumental in leveraging and refining our multimodal LLMs to unlock new functionalities for our customers and optimize their deployments across both cloud and edge environments. Our deep learning models are renowned for their extreme efficiency; for instance, our smallest computer vision model boasts a memory footprint of just 1MB. Your work will involve training and designing more accurate models, while simultaneously enabling the deployment of new, more complex AI applications on resource-constrained, low-power hardware.
• • You will contribute to the enhancement of our data pipeline, model architectures, and training software. While relevant literature will sometimes guide our efforts, novel approaches and clever solutions are frequently essential for overcoming the unique problems we address. Your technical toolkit will include utilizing our Kubernetes cluster for deploying PyTorch and TensorFlow training jobs, leveraging Snowflake and Dataflow for dataset construction, employing tools like Streamlit for rapid prototyping of new demonstrations, and harnessing extensive GPU resources on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for training new models and automating data labeling.
