📋 Description

• The AI Success Engineer at OpenAI serves as the primary post-sales point of contact for key customers, driving account health, adoption, and measurable business value from OpenAI’s platform by translating cutting-edge AI into real-world impact.
• Day to day, the role involves leading technical relationships, owning account health and adoption velocity, conducting technical enablement and configuration sessions, identifying and validating use cases by embedding with customer teams, leading cross-workstream coordination for product activation and rollout, building relationships with executive and technical sponsors, translating customer objectives into adoption roadmaps with KPIs, partnering with Solutions Architecture, Product, Engineering and Research to surface feedback and blockers, guiding value realization through baselines and reporting, facilitating workshops on use case design and champion building, driving expansions by identifying high-leverage opportunities, and serving as a technical advisor for optimizing existing implementations.
• The AI Success Engineer team partners with ambitious organizations worldwide to guide them from initial deployment to scaled enterprise adoption of OpenAI’s technology, working with customers ranging from fast-growing digital natives to global enterprises, government agencies, and educational institutions to shape how AI transforms work, productivity, and innovation.
• In this role, you will learn to navigate complex enterprise environments, deepen expertise in OpenAI’s product portfolio and AI technologies, develop strategic advisory skills for C-level stakeholders, master technical program management across multi-workstream initiatives, and drive measurable business impact by aligning AI capabilities with customer workflows and goals.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles such as technical account management, technical product management, technical GenAI consulting, solutions architecture, technical delivery leadership, or deep technical enterprise SaaS adoption work
• Deep, hands-on knowledge of OpenAI product capabilities, APIs, SDKs, connectors, and common integration patterns, with the ability to explain model behavior, limitations, technical tradeoffs, embeddings, retrieval augmentation, and approaches to fine-tuning or custom model usage
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language and help customers understand the strategic impact of AI technologies
