📋 Description

• As an AI Tutor specializing in Biophysical & Computational Chemistry, you will serve as a subject matter expert to evaluate and improve AI model performance in scientific reasoning, ensuring models generate accurate, rigorous, and chemically sound responses.
• Day to day, you will design complex chemistry prompts spanning molecular simulations, kinetics, thermodynamics, and related fields; apply adversarial prompting techniques to probe model weaknesses; critically assess AI-generated outputs for scientific validity; and provide calibrated feedback to refine model behavior and quality standards.
• You will join a remote-first AI innovation team at Handshake Technologies, contributing to cutting-edge AI evaluation projects where scientific precision directly impacts model reliability in STEM domains.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in AI model evaluation, gain experience in red teaming and prompt engineering for scientific AI, and help shape quality benchmarks for AI systems used in education and research.

🎯 Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field
• Graduate-level expertise across multiple areas of Chemistry (e.g., biophysical, computational, physical, theoretical)
• Prior hands-on experience in AI data annotation, RLHF, or similar AI training/data roles
• Excellent written communication and analytical skills for evaluating complex scientific content
• Permanent U.S. residency (no visa sponsorship available)
