• • As the inaugural AIOps Lead at M-KOPA Holdings Limited, you will spearhead the creation, deployment, and scaling of advanced automations and AI agents across the entire organization. This is a foundational role within a rapidly growing fintech company, tasked with defining and leading a brand-new team that will significantly enhance operational efficiency and customer impact.

The tech foundation is already established, providing a solid base for you to build upon and innovate.
• • Your leadership will directly influence how over 2,300 employees work daily, streamlining processes and empowering them to deliver better services. M-KOPA's impressive track record, including serving over 7 million customers and facilitating over $2 billion in credit, highlights the scale and importance of the impact your team will have.

• • Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring a team of two AIOps Engineers, fostering their professional development, and ensuring the successful delivery of their projects. You will be responsible for their day-to-day work, guiding their technical growth and overall contribution to the team's objectives.
• • A critical aspect of your role will be to develop and implement a robust prioritization framework. This will enable efficient management of competing requests from various departments, ensuring that the team's efforts are aligned with the most impactful business needs.
• • You will be hands-on in building and shipping automations and AI agents that demonstrably improve the productivity and effectiveness of internal teams and customer-facing staff. This involves translating business requirements into tangible, working solutions.
• • Maintaining the health and scalability of the AI tooling stack as usage grows across M-KOPA's extensive employee base of over 2,500 individuals will be a key operational duty. This includes monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing necessary upgrades.
• • Staying abreast of emerging AI tools and technologies is crucial. You will be expected to critically evaluate new developments, distinguishing between hype and genuine practical value, and integrating promising innovations into M-KOPA's ecosystem.
• • You will also play a vital role in refining AI training programs for the wider organization, including M-KOPA's Engineering teams, promoting AI literacy and best practices across the company.
• • The technical environment includes AI & Agentic Frameworks such as Claude, LangChain, MCP, and Google ADK. You will also work with Automation & Prototyping tools like scripting languages, workflow tools, AI-assisted development, and rapid prototyping platforms (Vercel/Railway).
• • Experience with Enterprise Tooling, including identity automation (Entra), internal platforms, and integrations with tools like Notion and HiBob, is essential. The existing foundation includes twelve months of production-ready automations using Claude, Notion, HiBob, and Entra.
• • M-KOPA's approach emphasizes building and shipping functional solutions rather than just advising. The strategy is to prove value with the initial team and then expand, adopting a product-focused mindset to treat internal teams as customers.
