• • Vana, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant (Analista Contable Jr.) to join our dynamic finance team in Guatemala. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, supporting the seamless operation of the entire entity. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for coordinating, analyzing, and executing accounting entries that underpin all aspects of the company's financial activities. You will play a crucial role in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with both fiscal regulations and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• • Your core responsibilities will include the meticulous elaboration of financial statements and accounting integrations, adhering to both fiscal and NIIF (IFRS) frameworks. This involves a deep dive into the numbers, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with relevant accounting principles. You will be tasked with reviewing the records of recalculations and accounting estimates, a critical step in ensuring the reliability of our financial reporting. This requires a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of accounting principles to identify any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
• • Furthermore, you will be responsible for the preparation of bank reconciliations, a fundamental process for verifying the accuracy of cash transactions and identifying any potential errors or omissions. This task is essential for maintaining robust cash management and control. You will also be involved in the preparation of withholding tax certificates for ISR (Income Tax) and IVA (Value Added Tax), ensuring compliance with Guatemalan tax laws and timely submission to relevant authorities. This requires a thorough understanding of tax regulations and accurate calculation of these withholdings.
• • Another significant aspect of this role involves the preparation and submission of purchase and sales books, which are vital for tax reporting and audit purposes. You will maintain these records meticulously, ensuring they are up-to-date and readily available. The role also encompasses the elaboration and maintenance of the accounting books archive, ensuring that all financial records are organized, securely stored, and easily accessible for future reference and audits. This organizational aspect is key to efficient financial management.
