- • As an Analyst, Reconciliation Operations at Airwallex, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team responsible for the meticulous accuracy of all financial transactions. Your role is critical in ensuring that every incoming and outgoing payment is flawlessly processed, reconciled, and accurately reflected across our extensive network of banking partners and internal ledgers. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the operational backbone of a rapidly growing global fintech company, directly impacting our ability to provide seamless financial services to over 200,000 businesses worldwide.
- • You will be entrusted with the daily management of reconciliation activities, spanning multiple payment channels and complex financial flows. This involves a keen eye for detail to ensure that all transactions are correctly matched, recorded, and cleared, maintaining the integrity of our financial data. Your work will directly support Airwallex's mission to build the future of global banking by ensuring operational excellence and reliability.
- • A core aspect of your role will be the proactive investigation and resolution of any discrepancies or 'breaks' that arise during the reconciliation process. You will be expected to identify the root causes of these issues swiftly and efficiently, working towards their resolution within strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This requires a methodical and analytical approach, coupled with strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex financial scenarios.
- • You will play a key role in driving process standardization and quality improvements across the reconciliation operations. As Airwallex continues to scale its operations globally, your insights and contributions will be vital in refining existing workflows, implementing best practices, and identifying opportunities for automation. This proactive approach to operational enhancement ensures that our systems remain robust and scalable.
- • Collaboration will be central to your success. You will work closely with a high-performing, cross-functional team, including Financial Operations, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Product Finance, and Customer Support. This collaborative environment fosters knowledge sharing and ensures that all stakeholders are aligned in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
- • Your responsibilities will extend to performing daily audits and matching of intricate, multi-leg, and outstanding transactions. This meticulous process guarantees completeness and accuracy by cross-referencing bank statements, transaction reports, and internal records, providing a clear audit trail.
- • You will be instrumental in proactively following up on and resolving outstanding transactions. This involves coordinating effectively with various internal teams to ensure timely settlement and minimize operational risks. Monitoring aged items will be crucial to prevent backlogs and maintain smooth financial operations.
- • A significant part of your contribution will involve assisting in the regular review of work practices, controls, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and procedures. Your objective will be to identify opportunities for enhancing quality, increasing automation, and boosting productivity. You will also support the implementation of these enhancements and new tools, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- • You will gain deep familiarity with end-to-end payment processes and bank clearing mechanisms across a diverse range of partner banks and payment channels. Understanding how these intricate flows are reflected in our internal systems is paramount to your success in this role.
- • The role demands a proactive problem-solver with exceptional analytical skills and a high degree of attention to detail. A methodical and structured approach is essential for investigating and resolving transaction issues effectively.
- • You will develop and hone your ability to communicate complex reconciliation or transaction break scenarios clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, to a variety of stakeholders, including those with technical and non-technical backgrounds.
- • This position requires the ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will need to manage multiple priorities effectively while consistently maintaining a high level of accuracy and control.
- • A strong work ethic and a team-oriented mindset are highly valued. You will be encouraged to collaborate, share your knowledge, and support your colleagues to achieve our collective operational goals.
- • You will contribute to maintaining a strong control environment, understanding the importance of compliance standards, documentation, and audit trails within the financial services and regulated industry.
