- • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for Velera’s Member Insight analytics suite, translating raw data into actionable intelligence that empowers 4,000+ credit unions to serve their 100 million+ members more effectively.
- • Act as the primary liaison between external credit-union stakeholders and internal BI, engineering, and product teams—translating complex business questions into precise data requirements and ensuring every release delivers measurable ROI.
- • Rapidly triage and research data anomalies, report defects, and enhancement requests; reproduce issues in sandbox environments, quantify business impact, and hand off validated findings to BI Analysts with clear remediation or improvement roadmaps.
- • Design and build net-new Tableau, Power BI, or SQL-based reports that solve high-value problems such as member churn prediction, loan-portfolio risk segmentation, and real-time fraud detection—always balancing analytical rigor with intuitive end-user experience.
- • Create and curate a living library of educational assets: quick-start guides, interactive tutorials, certification checklists, and “report recipes” that shorten time-to-value for credit-union analysts and executives alike.
- • Deliver engaging virtual and on-site training sessions for audiences ranging from branch managers to C-suite executives, translating statistical concepts into plain language and inspiring adoption of advanced analytics across the organization.
- • Champion a culture of data-driven decision making by evangelizing best-practice methodologies—storytelling with data, hypothesis-driven analysis, and iterative experimentation—both internally at Velera and across our credit-union network.
- • Lead formal Agile projects from initiation through post-launch optimization: draft project charters, facilitate requirement-gathering workshops, maintain living backlogs, and coordinate UAT cycles to ensure 100 % stakeholder alignment.
- • Translate high-level strategic goals into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and test scripts; partner with QA to execute end-to-end validation and sign off only when business value is demonstrably achieved.
- • Identify and mitigate adoption risks early—craft communication plans, readiness checklists, and change-management playbooks that accelerate go-live and minimize disruption to daily operations.
- • Continuously scan the fintech landscape for emerging analytics trends (e.g., machine-learning-driven personalization, open-banking APIs, real-time streaming analytics) and feed insights into Velera’s three-year product roadmap.
- • Contribute to a psychologically safe, inclusive team culture where diverse perspectives are celebrated and every voice can influence the future of financial services.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Science, Data Science, Applied Math, Business Intelligence, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- • 3+ years product/service support or client relationship experience within the financial services industry
- • 2+ years in a Data Analyst or Business Analyst role working with large data sets, trend identification, and relational databases
- • 2+ years of experience with data delivery or analytic tools/applications (preferred)
