Analytics Engineer - Expressions of Interest

📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of data models that power every strategic decision at Deliverect. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable, analytics-ready datasets using DBT on top of BigQuery, transforming millions of daily transactional records into clean, governed, and lightning-fast tables that Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams trust.
• • Build self-service dashboards and visualisations in Looker (or equivalent) that turn complex data into intuitive stories. Your work will eliminate ad-hoc requests, democratise insights, and give stakeholders the confidence to act quickly on everything from funnel conversion to delivery-time optimisation.
• • Partner deeply with cross-functional squads to translate business questions into measurable metrics. You will run deep-dive analyses, surface growth opportunities, and present findings in a language that resonates with both engineers and executives, directly influencing roadmap priorities and revenue.
• • Establish and evangelise data-governance standards—defining naming conventions, freshness SLAs, unit tests, and lineage documentation—so that every dataset is discoverable, reliable, and compliant. You will champion a culture of data quality by building automated monitoring and anomaly-detection frameworks that catch issues before stakeholders do.
• • Collaborate with Data Engineers to shape ingestion strategies, optimise ELT pipelines, and select the right tooling for evolving scale. Whether it is streaming events from Kafka, integrating third-party APIs, or leveraging GCP’s latest features, you will ensure the platform stays ahead of 10× growth.
• • Drive continuous improvement of the modern data stack. Experiment with dbt packages, orchestrate workflows in Airflow or Prefect, and prototype new approaches to semantic-layer modelling. Your curiosity will keep Deliverect at the cutting edge of analytics engineering practices.
• • Mentor analysts and business users in SQL best practices, dashboard design, and statistical thinking. Through brown-bag sessions and pair-programming, you will raise the data literacy of the entire organisation and create a multiplier effect on decision-making speed.
• • Document everything—ERDs, transformation logic, runbooks, and business glossaries—so that knowledge is never siloed. Your clear, concise artefacts will onboard new team members in days, not weeks, and serve as the single source of truth for years to come.
• • Contribute to strategic projects such as customer-lifetime-value modelling, real-time anomaly detection for fraud, or predictive delivery-time algorithms. Your models will move from prototype to production, impacting millions of end consumers and thousands of restaurant partners worldwide.
