- • As Sr. Director, Data Science at Coupa Software Inc., you will lead the development, deployment, and governance of advanced AI systems across the company’s total spend management platform, driving innovation in AI-powered business decisions that improve operating margins for global enterprises.
- • You will define how AI models are built, evaluated, and scaled—ensuring excellence in model performance, MLOps, and data quality—while establishing robust "golden datasets" and advancing AI observability to guarantee accuracy, reliability, and responsible deployment.
- • You will partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Platform teams to embed AI into core business workflows, setting the standard for trustworthy and impactful AI that aligns with Coupa’s mission of multiplying margins through community-generated AI.
- • In this role, you will shape the strategic direction of AI at scale, mentor high-performing data science teams, and deliver measurable business impact by transforming trillions of dollars of spend data into predictive, prescriptive, and automated insights for 10M+ global buyers and suppliers.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven leadership in building and scaling enterprise-grade AI/ML systems, including end-to-end MLOps pipelines and model governance frameworks.
- • Deep expertise in machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data science methodologies applied to large-scale, structured and unstructured business data.
- • Experience defining and implementing data quality initiatives, including the creation of "golden datasets" and AI observability systems to ensure model reliability and fairness.
- • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams in Engineering, Product, and Platform to integrate AI into core product workflows and drive adoption.
- • Strategic vision for responsible AI, including ethics, transparency, and compliance, with a track record of aligning AI initiatives with business outcomes like margin improvement and operational efficiency.
