📋 Description

• As Analytics Engineering Director at Deliveroo Holdings plc, you will lead the global Analytics Engineering team, defining the long-term vision for data modeling and governance to ensure high-quality data foundations that power mission-critical decisions across product, commercial, and operations.
• Your day-to-day will involve setting the global roadmap for analytics engineering with an AI-first focus, leading a high-performing global team, partnering with senior stakeholders in Product, Engineering, and Business to embed analytics in decision-making, driving 'Data as a Product' by evolving data models and semantic layers, establishing rigorous data governance and quality standards, and maintaining technical depth to review SQL/data models and troubleshoot critical incidents.
• You will join a world-class analytics organization of over 100 Analytics Engineers across the UK, Europe, India, and the US, embedded within product and business domains to ensure context and ownership while operating under unified design principles, supporting a data platform that processes hundreds of terabytes daily to enable self-serve analytics, experimentation, executive reporting, and strategic planning.
• In this role, you will shape the future of data at scale, drive measurable business impact through trusted data products, grow your leadership in a high-growth, innovative environment, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within a purpose-driven mission to transform how people shop and eat.

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience leading large, global analytics or data engineering organisations within complex, high-growth environments
• Proven ability to define and execute long-term technical strategies across BI, data modelling, reporting, and the intersection of analytics and AI
• Deep technical credibility, with a strong command of SQL and experience with modern data architectures and technologies
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level and navigate organisational ambiguity with confidence
• A 'metrics-first' mindset, with a focus on ensuring technical execution translates into measurable business impact
• Experience building internal BI platforms or self-service ecosystems that empower non-technical users (nice-to-have)
• Familiarity with AI-forward analytics, such as AI-assisted querying or leveraging LLMs to improve data productivity (nice-to-have)
