Android Engineer, Terminal Developer Productivity

📋 Description

• • As an Android Engineer on Stripe’s Terminal Developer Productivity team, you will design, build, and maintain tools, libraries, and infrastructure that improve the productivity of engineers working on mobile, backend, and embedded systems for Stripe Terminal, enabling seamless in-person and online payment experiences.
• • Your day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with mobile engineers to understand workflows and pain points, contributing to and improving build, CI/CD, and test automation systems for Terminal SDKs, Android apps, and firmware, owning projects end-to-end from design through rollout and operation, participating in code reviews and design discussions, and mentoring other engineers on build, test, and release best practices.
• • You will join the Terminal team at Stripe, which is dedicated to making in-person payments as easy as online payments through the Stripe API, supporting Unified Commerce by unifying online and offline experiences for businesses ranging from startups to global enterprises.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in mobile developer productivity, gain hands-on experience with Android and embedded/firmware tooling, and have the opportunity to shape critical infrastructure that accelerates engineering velocity across multiple teams while contributing to Stripe’s mission of increasing the GDP of the internet.
