Android Engineer, Terminal OS Platform

📋 Description

• • As an Android Engineer on the Terminal OS Platform team at Stripe, you will design, build, and maintain Android applications and SDKs in Kotlin that power in-person payment experiences for businesses worldwide, directly contributing to Stripe’s mission of increasing the GDP of the internet by extending online payment capabilities to the physical world.
• • Day to day, you will develop Android payment applications for diverse devices and form factors, collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to bring new features to market, work with user research to understand user needs, and partner with other Android engineers across Stripe to establish and uphold best practices in Android development.
• • You will join the Terminal team, which is dedicated to making in-person payments as seamless and developer-friendly as Stripe’s online API, enabling businesses to unify their online and offline commerce through custom hardware and software solutions.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in Android SDK development, custom hardware integration, and payments systems while influencing company-wide Android engineering standards and gaining exposure to cross-functional product development at a global financial infrastructure leader.
