- • Create polished, satisfying, and lightweight animations, VFX, trails, transitions, and feedback effects for Helix Jump to enhance visual feedback and game feel.
- • Improve impact moments, destruction sequences, combo triggers, speed cues, rhythm patterns, and momentum-based feedback to increase tactile satisfaction and player engagement.
- • Work directly in Unity to implement, iterate, and refine animations and visual effects based on product direction and player behavior.
- • Collaborate closely with developers to ensure all visual elements maintain high quality while remaining optimized for mobile performance.
- • Optimize effects for mobile constraints by reducing draw calls, minimizing overdraw, limiting particle count, streamlining materials, improving batching, and reducing texture sizes and GPU cost.
- • Iterate rapidly using insights from A/B testing, player analytics, and product feedback to refine visual mechanics and improve overall game feel.
- • Contribute creative ideas to elevate the game’s visual quality, readability, timing, and tactile responsiveness without compromising performance.
- • Ensure all animations and effects are lightweight and performant across a wide range of mobile devices while preserving the game’s signature speed and rhythm.
- • Maintain a strong performance-conscious mindset throughout the design and implementation process, prioritizing efficiency without sacrificing visual impact.
- • Balance creativity, technical execution, and speed to deliver high-quality assets under tight development cycles.
- • Communicate effectively in English to align with cross-functional teams including designers, engineers, and product managers.
- • Participate in iterative design cycles, providing and receiving feedback to continuously improve the game’s visual language and player experience.
- • Focus on enhancing readability and clarity of gameplay cues through animation and visual effects, ensuring intuitive player understanding at high speeds.
- • Apply deep understanding of Unity’s animation and particle systems to build scalable, reusable, and optimized visual systems.
- • Contribute to the live game’s evolution by refining existing animations and effects based on real-time player data and performance metrics.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong experience as an Animator or Technical Artist on mobile games
- • Strong hands-on experience with Unity
- • Good understanding of Unity animation systems and particle systems
- • Strong eye for game feel, timing, rhythm, readability, polish, and tactile satisfaction
- • Experience creating effects for fast-paced gameplay, impact, destruction, combo, speed, rhythm, or momentum-based mechanics
- • Strong performance-conscious mindset for mobile games
