- • The APAC Strategic Initiatives Lead, Global Affairs is a senior individual contributor role based in Singapore, reporting to the Head of Asia-Pacific, Global Affairs, responsible for driving execution of priority regional initiatives, partnerships, and campaigns to advance OpenAI’s mission in the Asia-Pacific region.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include owning end-to-end execution of strategic initiatives, translating regional priorities into actionable workplans with owners and milestones, coordinating across policy, communications, legal, product, research, and go-to-market teams, preparing executive briefings and presentations, and building systems to track initiative progress and outcomes.
- • The Global Affairs team at OpenAI builds collaborative relationships with policymakers, regulators, and institutions to ensure external perspectives inform AI development and that policy frameworks support safe and beneficial AI advancement, working closely with cross-functional teams to shape responsible policy outcomes globally.
- • In this role, the individual will develop strategic judgment, executive presence, and cross-cultural leadership skills while gaining deep expertise in AI policy, geopolitical trends, and high-stakes partnership execution across diverse APAC markets, with opportunities to influence OpenAI’s regional strategy and global impact.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of experience in strategic initiatives, partnerships, campaign execution, program management, public policy, corporate affairs, consulting, business operations, or related fields
- • Proven success operating as a senior individual contributor with broad scope, executive trust, and strong ownership in high-growth or complex organizations
- • Strong experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing senior-level briefings, memos, and presentations
- • Experience working across APAC or in international environments
- • Fluency or professional working proficiency in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean is a plus
