- • Alight, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Application Support Engineer with expertise in .NET and Kentico to join our dynamic Application Support team. This pivotal role is dedicated to ensuring the unwavering stability, optimal performance, and consistent reliability of our enterprise-level web applications, which are built upon the robust Kentico platform and leverage .NET technologies. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional problem-solving acumen, extensive experience in deep technical troubleshooting, and a profound commitment to a customer-centric approach.
- • In this capacity, you will be instrumental in supporting critical business applications that are vital to our operations. You will collaborate closely with our development teams, acting as a key technical liaison and a primary point of contact for the Sales and Service Center (SSC), particularly for users of our .COM portal. Your responsibilities will extend to diagnosing and resolving a wide array of issues, from application incidents and performance degradation to code-level defects and platform-specific challenges.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves performing thorough root cause analysis (RCA) for identified issues. Following this analysis, you will be responsible for implementing effective fixes or workarounds to swiftly restore service and minimize any disruption to business operations. This includes investigating and resolving complex content integration issues that may arise within the Kentico Content Management System (CMS) environment.
- • Furthermore, you will provide essential support for integrations with various downstream systems. This includes, but is not limited to, critical CRM tools (with a preference for Microsoft Dynamics CRM), essential APIs, and other shared services that are integral to our technology ecosystem. Your ability to understand and troubleshoot these interconnected systems will be crucial for maintaining seamless functionality.
- • The role demands a proactive approach to monitoring application health, identifying potential issues before they impact users, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our support processes and tools. You will be expected to document solutions, update knowledge bases, and share your expertise with the wider team to foster a culture of learning and efficiency.
- • As part of a 24x7 environment, on-call support is an expected component of this role, requiring flexibility and a commitment to ensuring continuous availability of our critical applications. This ensures that our users, especially those in the Sales and Service Center, have the support they need around the clock.
- • You will also play a role in mentoring junior team members, providing technical guidance, and sharing best practices in application support and troubleshooting. This leadership aspect contributes to the overall growth and capability of the Application Support team.
- • The position requires a strong understanding of modern web development principles, object-oriented design, and architectural patterns. Familiarity with cloud environments, particularly Azure, is highly beneficial given its role in hosting and managing our applications.

- • This role supports services provided to the federal government or federal government contractor and therefore requires US Citizenship. Proof of citizenship status will be required at time of hire.

🎯 Requirements
- • 3-5 years of experience in .NET and web technologies, with at least 5 years in ASP.NET/C# application development or support.
- • Expertise in ASP.NET MVC (4.0+), jQuery, Knockout.js, and modern web development principles, coupled with a deep understanding of object-oriented design/architecture.
- • Experience supporting or integrating with CMS platforms, preferably Kentico, and familiarity with SOAP/XML Web Services, REST APIs, and JSON.
- • Hands-on experience with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, IIS, and related toolchains, along with technical capability in Entity Framework, LINQ, and SQL Server (schema design, stored procedures, performance tuning).
- • 3+ years in IT Application Support, preferably within a customer service–focused environment, and experience mentoring junior team members.
