- • As a Full Stack Applications Engineer on DoorDash’s People Applications team, you will build and maintain technology solutions that power the entire employee lifecycle—from recruitment to offboarding—directly supporting DoorDash’s mission to attract, develop, and retain top talent in a competitive market.
- • Your work will enable seamless, scalable, and user-centric people experiences that align with DoorDash’s rapid growth and innovation goals, ensuring HR processes are efficient, secure, and delightful for employees across all functions and locations.
- • Day to day, you will design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack applications using modern frontend (React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3) and backend (Node/Express, Python/FastAPI) technologies to support talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives.
- • You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Data Engineers, Analysts, and HR business partners to translate people strategies into technical requirements, ensuring solutions are aligned with business outcomes and user needs.
- • You will write and maintain automated tests using frameworks like Jest, Vitest, Cypress, or Playwright to ensure code quality, reliability, and performance across development and production environments.
- • You will design and optimize database schemas and queries using PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Cassandra, writing complex SQL/PLSQL to support reporting, analytics, and operational efficiency of people applications.
- • You will containerize and orchestrate applications using Docker and Kubernetes, deploying and managing services on AWS, GCP, or Azure to ensure scalability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.
- • You will troubleshoot, configure, and support production applications, providing timely resolution to incidents and guiding end-users and peers through new features and process changes.
- • You will continuously evaluate system performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, security, and stability of people-facing platforms through proactive monitoring and iterative refinement.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- • 4+ years of industry experience in software development, with preference for experience in HR-related applications or enterprise SaaS platforms
- • Proficiency in frontend technologies including JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML5, and CSS3, along with backend experience in Node/Express or Python/FastAPI
- • Hands-on experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Cassandra, including writing complex queries and optimizing performance
- • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- • Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest, Vitest, Cypress, or Playwright to ensure code quality and reliability

- • Competitive base salary ranging from $115,000 to $169,000 USD, localized to work location and based on skills, experience, and market conditions
