- • At Pareto, we build the platform that turns expert human judgment into the data, evals, and RL environments that frontier models learn from.
- • Applied AI Engineers at Pareto build the internal systems that let the company scale, focusing on data pipelines, training workflows, and HITL infrastructure.
- • The work involves designing agentic workflows and automation pipelines to let Pareto operate faster and break less.
- • You'll work directly with research, data, and product teams, scoping hard problems, deciding what's worth building, and owning what ships.
- • The work feeds into training pipelines at Anthropic, GDM, and other frontier labs.
- • You'll design and build pipelines that generate synthetic tasks and eval environments for model training, architect HITL workflows, lead system design discussions, and assess whether a technical idea is worth building.
- • You'll work across research, ops, and data teams, translating ambiguous requirements into concrete architecture, building frameworks and guidelines, and getting early signal, aligning stakeholders, and deciding fast.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of software engineering experience with end-to-end ownership of complex systems
- • Software engineering foundation first, thinking in systems and architecture
- • Production experience with agentic workflows, HITL pipelines, and LLM-powered applications, including RAG, vector stores, multi-model stacks, and shipped and monitored systems
- • Solid context engineering practices, knowing where AI breaks and how to build around it
- • Experience with distributed systems applied to AI or data platforms, making it reliable and observable at scale
- • Daily use of agentic coding tools, such as Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent
- • Strong written and verbal English communication, including design discussions, stakeholder pushback, and architecture docs
