We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Applied Scientist to join our dynamic research and development team, focusing on our Causal Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) product. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the full product lifecycle, from developing novel scientific methodologies to implementing and deploying them through scalable software solutions.
- • As an Applied Scientist on our team, you will be instrumental in advancing the Haus Causal MMM product. You will collaborate closely with talented engineers, product managers, and designers, working hand-in-hand to craft exceptional user experiences for our clients. Your role will involve a blend of deep theoretical research and practical, hands-on implementation, ensuring that our scientific innovations translate into tangible business value for our customers.
- • A core aspect of your responsibility will be to partner with our engineering teams to build and deploy sophisticated causal models into production environments at scale. This requires not only a strong theoretical understanding of causal inference and machine learning but also the practical ability to translate complex models into robust, efficient, and maintainable code. You will be involved in the entire process, from initial model design and validation to ongoing monitoring and optimization.
- • You will be expected to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field, leveraging existing scientific literature while also actively contributing to the development of new methodologies in causal marketing measurement. This includes exploring innovative approaches to address complex customer pain points and driving the product roadmap by advocating for rigorous scientific solutions that deliver measurable ROI.
- • The ideal candidate is a hands-on economist or applied scientist with a proven track record in the modern marketing measurement stack. Experience with incrementality testing, MMM, and Marketing Attribution (MTA) is crucial. You should possess a genuine excitement for both theoretical exploration and the practical application of science to solve real-world business challenges. Your ability to thrive in ambiguity, use strong judgment, and communicate clearly and succinctly will be key to driving our ambitious roadmap forward.

🎯 Requirements
- • MSc or PhD in Economics or a related quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics), or equivalent industry/academic experience.
- • 2+ years of professional experience working as an Economist, Data Scientist, or Applied Scientist, with a demonstrated ability to build and deploy science models in production environments.
- • Expert proficiency in Python for data analysis, modeling, and scientific computing, and expert proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- • Proven experience with the modern marketing measurement stack, including incrementality testing, Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), and Marketing Attribution (MTA).
- • Strong theoretical and practical experience in causal inference and machine learning techniques.
- • Demonstrated experience coding and troubleshooting models specifically built for production deployment, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
