- • Are you a seasoned Architectural Designer, Landscape Designer, Set Designer, Lighting Designer, BIM Coordinator, or CAD Drafter with a deep understanding of Vectorworks and a keen eye for detail? Handshake Technologies, Inc. is seeking talented professionals like you to contribute to a groundbreaking AI research initiative. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your extensive design expertise in a flexible, hourly contract role, shaping the future of artificial intelligence in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.
- • This is not a conventional employment position but rather an ongoing, project-based engagement designed to complement your existing professional commitments. You will be instrumental in evaluating and refining AI-generated design content, providing critical feedback that will train AI models to better comprehend and execute complex design tasks and industry-standard workflows. Your insights will directly influence the development of AI tools that aim to revolutionize how designs are conceived, created, and managed.
- • As an AI Trainer, your primary responsibility will be to utilize your practical experience with Vectorworks to develop insightful, tool-related questions. You will then meticulously review the AI's responses, assessing their accuracy, relevance, and adherence to real-world architectural design and BIM principles. This process involves a deep dive into the nuances of design, ensuring that the AI learns to produce outputs that are not only technically correct but also creatively sound and contextually appropriate.
- • Your role will involve annotating and labeling architectural drawings and design assets, ensuring that the AI can correctly interpret and utilize this information. You will also be tasked with reviewing design models for accuracy, data integrity, and design consistency, identifying any discrepancies or areas for improvement. This critical evaluation ensures that the AI develops a robust understanding of design quality and standards.
- • We are looking for individuals who possess a strong foundation in architectural design concepts, a solid grasp of BIM standards, and proficiency in CAD workflows. Your experience should extend to one or more of the following areas: architectural design, BIM modeling, or CAD drafting specifically using Vectorworks; landscape design; entertainment design; or set and lighting workflows. The ability to critically assess design outputs and provide constructive feedback is paramount.
- • This role offers unparalleled flexibility. As an independent contractor, you have the autonomy to set your own schedule, with no minimum hour requirement. Many contributors find that they can comfortably dedicate between 5 to 20 hours per week to active projects, making this an ideal opportunity for those seeking supplementary income or a way to engage their professional skills outside of a traditional job.
- • The Handshake AI program operates year-round, ensuring a continuous stream of potential projects. Opportunities become available periodically across various specializations within the AEC domain. Your placement into specific projects will depend on current needs and your unique skill set. As new projects emerge, you will be considered for those that align with your expertise, offering long-term engagement potential.
- • This is an exceptional chance to be at the forefront of AI innovation within the design and construction sectors. By contributing your valuable industry knowledge, you will play a pivotal role in developing AI that can assist designers, architects, and engineers in their daily tasks, potentially leading to increased efficiency, enhanced creativity, and improved project outcomes. Your feedback loop is essential for bridging the gap between theoretical AI capabilities and practical, real-world design application.
- • The work is entirely remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere within the USA, provided you have a reliable internet connection and a functional desktop or laptop computer. This eliminates geographical barriers and offers a truly flexible working environment. Handshake Technologies, Inc. is committed to fostering a collaborative and innovative research community, and your participation is highly valued.
