• • Import sales, cost of goods sold, deposits, and inventory movement entries into accounting software to maintain accurate financial records.
• • Manually enter invoices into accounting software and match them to corresponding receiving activity to ensure transactional accuracy.
• • Perform monthly bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations to verify financial data integrity across all accounts.
• • Research and resolve nominal discrepancies in receiving or banking activity to prevent accounting errors and maintain compliance.
• • Code financial items to appropriate general ledger (GL) accounts while verifying accuracy with senior accountants as needed.
• • Provide timely and accurate accounting support to internal team members and external retailers to ensure high-quality customer hospitality.
• • Assist in all areas of the business as required, contributing to operational efficiency beyond core accounting duties.
• • Maintain a calm and positive demeanor while managing high-volume tasks during fast-paced financial period closes.
• • Communicate regularly and actively with peers and clients to ensure clarity, alignment, and responsiveness in all accounting interactions.
• • Proactively plan and request time off, understanding that extended paid time off during financial close periods requires supervisor approval.
• • Ensure all accounting tasks are completed with precision, timeliness, and adherence to established accounting principles and internal controls.
• • Support the broader accounting team in delivering full-charge accounting services across the United States and Canada.
• • Utilize accounting software efficiently to streamline data entry, reconciliation, and reporting processes.
• • Stay informed about evolving accounting practices and software tools to continuously improve performance and accuracy.
