- • The Assistant Controller will help maintain a high-quality, scalable, and well-controlled finance function as ghSMART continues to grow as a global advisory business, playing a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and decision-useful financial reporting.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting core accounting processes, strengthening the control environment, improving reporting quality, and helping simplify and scale finance operations to enable confident leadership decision-making.
- • The role involves close collaboration with the Controller and CFO, external auditors, and cross-functional partners, reporting directly to the Controller while building trusted relationships across the firm and elevating operating discipline within accounting.
- • The position offers the opportunity to contribute to a finance organization that supports future growth, gain deep exposure to financial operations in a premier leadership advisory firm, and develop expertise in scaling finance functions within a dynamic, professional services environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- • CPA certification or active pursuit thereof
- • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in professional services or public accounting
- • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- • Experience with month-end close, financial statement preparation, and internal controls
- • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar)
