📋 Description

• The Associate Creative Director (ACD) role marks the transition from senior individual contributor to holistic creative leadership, reflecting a high level of trust, ownership, and influence within internal teams and across global client accounts.
• Day to day, the ACD will take creative ownership of core client accounts, set and maintain creative direction from concept through execution, act as a hands-on practitioner in 2D/3D motion design, collaborate with Production and Tech teams, lead pitches and new business opportunities, mentor designers, and contribute to studio-wide creative standards and culture.
• Active Theory LLC is a global creative studio that values craft, innovation, and AI-native thinking, working closely with Creative, Production, Tech, Growth, and External Partners to deliver high-impact work for clients across industries.
• In this role, the person will grow into a future leader by championing the studio’s vision and values, building a public-facing leadership profile through thought leadership and industry engagement, and shaping how Active Theory positions its creative capabilities externally while elevating team craft and collaboration.

🎯 Requirements

• Intimate familiarity with creative execution at the highest level, particularly in 2D/3D motion design
• Ability to take creative ownership of core client accounts and maintain creative direction from concept through execution
• Experience collaborating with Production and Tech teams to balance ambition, feasibility, and craft
• Demonstrated ability to lead pitches and new business opportunities, articulating the studio’s unique perspective
• Proven track record in mentoring designers and elevating team work through feedback and direction
• Being AI native and demonstrating genuine interest in AI integration within creative processes
