  • • The Associate Director of Accounting (LATAM) will own general ledger accounting processes for P&L for the Clinical Solutions organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting across Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, and Peru.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing journal entries prepared by accounting staff, preparing complex GL entries, reviewing AP spend and cash flow forecasts, approving AP invoices, and assisting with cash management via ACH/wire submissions.
  • • The role involves reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations for SGA costs across multiple business units, finalizing corporate SGA budgets and forecasts, and providing actual-to-budget spend analysis commentary to support corporate spend management.
  • • The Associate Director will train and mentor staff, maintain process documentation for accounting thresholds and new GAAP standards, prepare bi-annual team training sessions, and integrate new business acquisitions while monitoring emerging US GAAP standards.
  • • They will establish internal controls to minimize payment errors and fraud, review vendor and customer spend/aging analysis, assess vendor consolidation opportunities, and ensure revenue recognition policies comply with US GAAP (ASC 606).
  • • The role includes reviewing audit support prepared by the team for external auditors, finalizing accounting memos, preparing complex audit schedules, supporting local statutory audits, and serving as the primary point of contact for local accounting and tax partners.
  • • The position ensures full compliance with local statutory accounting and reporting requirements, oversees preparation and submission of statutory financial statements per local GAAP and regulatory timelines, and assists with strategic initiatives such as system implementations and acquisitions.
  • • The team operates in a dynamic, high-growth environment where the Associate Director will partner with executive leadership, build credibility with stakeholders, and lead team development in a remote LATAM setting.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum concentration in accounting or finance; Accounting Designation preferred (CPA or local equivalent)
  • • Minimum of 12+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and accounting best practices, including US and international accounting standards
  • • Spanish language skills to communicate effectively with local teams, auditors, and regulatory authorities
  • • Proven critical thinking, analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills with ability to handle complex reporting under tight deadlines
  • • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a track record of developing teams and fostering strong cross-functional relationships
