- • Lead the architecture, design, and engineering delivery of Novartis’s agentic AI platform and related solutions to transform products, processes, and workflows into intelligent, agentic AI experiences.
- • Drive the end-to-end AI engineering operations including development, deployment, monitoring, reliability, and continuous improvement of AI-driven systems.
- • Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Data Science, Architecture, Security, and Business units to define technical roadmaps, platform standards, and solution priorities aligned with business goals.
- • Establish and enforce engineering best practices for AI system performance, scalability, security, governance, and maintainability across the AI lifecycle.
- • Guide the evaluation, integration, and optimization of AI models, orchestration frameworks, and supporting platform components to ensure technical excellence and operational efficiency.
- • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing engineering teams while fostering innovation, accountability, and a culture of technical excellence.
- • Identify opportunities to accelerate value delivery through reusable AI services, automation, and operational efficiencies in AI-enabled workflows.
- • Translate early-stage AI concepts into functional prototypes or proofs of concept, evaluating technical feasibility and navigating ambiguity to validate ideas quickly and effectively.
- • Apply strong technical knowledge across modern application development, cloud platforms, data technologies, and AI frameworks to bring innovative concepts to life in production environments.
- • Ensure all AI engineering initiatives align with business objectives, user needs, and long-term technical direction while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced innovation environment.
- • Communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to non-technical stakeholders and drive execution with strong problem-solving and execution skills.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related technical field.
- • Six plus years of experience in technology leadership, solution architecture, software engineering, or prototype development with a track record of building and advancing AI-enabled digital solutions.
- • Demonstrated experience translating early-stage AI concepts into functional prototypes or proofs of concept, including evaluating technical feasibility and working through ambiguity.
- • Strong technical knowledge across modern application development, cloud platforms, data technologies, and AI technologies, with proven ability to collaborate with Product, Innovation, Engineering, and Data Science teams.
- • Experience leading cross-functional technical efforts, including guiding developers, coordinating stakeholders, and aligning PoC work with business goals and technical direction.
- • Strong problem-solving, communication, and execution skills with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced innovation environments.

- • Annual salary range of $176,400.00 to $327,600.00.
