📋 Description

• The Associate Director, Clinical and Operational Improvement, supports profitable growth within the Healthcare Payer and Provider Optimization group by leading the design and delivery of integrated optimization programs (clinical, operational, and financial) that improve performance for hospitals and health systems.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering high-quality consulting services, providing healthcare industry expertise, building and maintaining client relationships, identifying priority issues, developing client-specific solutions, ensuring delivery assurance, coaching and mentoring team members, and demonstrating visible leadership within the account and broader practice.
• The role operates within Guidehouse’s Strategy & Transformation Consulting (Payer Provider) practice, working with hospitals and health systems to drive performance improvement across supply chain, workforce, clinical operations, shared services, and revenue management.
• The individual can expect to develop expertise in healthcare operations, lead complex multi-workstream engagements, influence executive stakeholders, and advance their career through thought leadership opportunities, project leadership, and deepening impact in healthcare transformation.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; nursing or other clinical degree from an accredited institution preferred
• 7+ years of experience in hospital operations (e.g., clinical operations, performance improvement, labor and non-labor optimization, physician operations, or provider-focused financial operations)
• Deep knowledge of hospital and health system operations
• Ability to benchmark and analyze data to redesign operational processes, improve efficiency, and establish standard work
• Consulting experience delivering complex, multi-site operational change and clinical improvement programs on aggressive timelines
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%)
