  • • The Associate Director, Digital Experience is a senior individual contributor role within the UX team at National University System, responsible for advancing core and innovation product experiences across the prospective student journey by optimizing digital touchpoints such as landing pages, application flows, and engagement tools.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include owning optimization, testing, and QA of digital experiences; defining and driving A/B tests; leading end-to-end journey optimization and personalization efforts; translating insights into actionable recommendations; partnering with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Enrollment, and Data teams; developing performance reporting; leading competitive and technology audits; and contributing to innovation roadmap development and AI initiatives.
  • • The role sits within the UX team and works closely with cross-functional partners across Marketing, Enrollment, Product, and Data to ensure experiences are user-centered, insight-driven, and continuously improving under the direction of the UX Director.
  • • The individual can deepen expertise in digital experience strategy, journey analytics, personalization, and experimentation; influence product and design decisions through data-informed advocacy; lead innovation initiatives; and grow leadership through influence without formal authority while contributing to the university’s mission of serving adult learners and working professionals.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field
  • • 7+ years of experience in digital experience, product strategy, personalization, or innovation roles with a demonstrated ability to shape user-facing products and end-to-end journeys
  • • Proven experience partnering with CRM and marketing automation teams, including hands-on familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce and understanding of lifecycle journeys, triggers, segmentation, and user signals
  • • Demonstrated experience driving personalization and experience intelligence using behavioral, CRM, and intent-based signals to inform scalable, high-impact improvements
  • • Strong experience defining KPIs, working with GA4 and behavioral analytics, and translating user data into actionable recommendations
  • • Solid foundation in human-centered design, journey mapping, and experience strategy with ability to guide solutions across complex digital ecosystems
  • • Experience collaborating within design systems and shared UX frameworks, partnering with designers rather than owning detailed design execution
  • • Strong cross-functional leadership and influence skills to align UX, Product, Enrollment, Marketing, IT, and Data teams without formal authority
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to translate complex concepts for technical and non-technical audiences
