- • As an Associate Director or Managing Consultant in Guidehouse’s Pharmacy Practice, you will play a pivotal role in helping healthcare organizations optimize their 340B programs and broader pharmacy operations to improve financial performance, compliance, and patient access—directly impacting revenue cycle efficiency and strategic pharmacy enterprise development.
- • Day to day, you will lead client engagements by identifying revenue cycle improvement opportunities through pricing strategies, 340B program implementation, Medicaid carve-outs, and charge description master (CDM) reviews; design and optimize specialty and retail pharmacy strategies including PBM models; evaluate pharmacy technology and automation across hospital, ambulatory, and outpatient settings; develop solution designs with scoped work plans and execution strategies; lead multidisciplinary teams through assessment, problem definition, solution development, risk mitigation, and delivery of high-impact results; perform financial analyses to build business cases and validate alternatives; and collaborate across teams to deliver innovative, client-centered pharmacy solutions.
- • You will join Guidehouse’s Strategy & Transformation Consulting practice, a trusted advisor to healthcare providers and payers navigating complex regulatory and operational challenges, where pharmacy expertise is leveraged to drive transformation in an increasingly value-based care environment.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in 340B compliance and optimization, specialty pharmacy strategy, outpatient infusion models, and PBM dynamics while advancing your leadership, consulting, and business development skills—positioning you to shape pharmacy enterprise strategy and influence national healthcare clients.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (BS) required.
- • 5–10 years of relevant pharmacy or healthcare consulting experience, with preference for candidates who have direct experience in 340B program optimization, specialty pharmacy strategy, outpatient infusion design (HOPD, non-HOPD, home), or PBM strategy.
- • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple workstreams, engage stakeholders at all levels, and use analytics to develop business cases and quantify pharmacy improvement opportunities.
